School Outreach Officer |
We are looking for two School Outreach Officers to coordinate workshops across the country. The role comes with significant responsibility, and the officers will constitute our School Outreach team, reporting directly to the charity President. Successful candidates will have a large amount of agency: in coordinating and designing our workshops, you will have a tangible impact on the lives of hundreds of disadvantaged children across the country whilst gaining valuable experience in the education sector working at an EdTech charity. UniReach is a growing and flexible organisation, so officers will also have the opportunity to extend their impact across the charity in a range of areas, if they wish, such as in producing video or print-out resources, or managing social media campaigns.

Essential candidate criteria:
UniReach is entirely volunteer-run, with a small team working on a part-time basis. Similarly, successful candidates will not be expected to volunteer more than 5-10 hours a week.

Job description
School Outreach Officers will be expected to:
- Reach out to existing & potential partner schools (we define ‘disadvantaged’ as schools with low acceptance rates to Oxford and Cambridge, in postcodes with low progression to university generally)
- Identify the needs of these schools and convince them to host a digital UniReach workshop in September/October
- Design school-specific workshops to help sixth-form students succeed in the admissions process, using our in-house past experience and volunteer base
- Work with the senior leadership team to execute school-specific workshops
