Programmer

We are looking for a technology lead to keep our tech ticking and help us introduce consistent improvements. You'll have the chance to apply your tech skills at a growing EdTech charity where you can make a real difference in the lives of disadvantaged children across the country. As the Tech Lead, you will be responsible for resolving technology problems and implementing improvements we make to our systems - this is a great chance to have a tangible impact and build your experience in technology.

We're also not looking for a huge amount of experience with coding languages and all that jazz. It's really useful to know your way around Google Sheets and JavaScript, but even more importantly, you need to be proactive and willing to get stuck in to identify and solve problems.

Job description:
  • Working to maintain and improve our systems, alongside the rest of the tech team
  • Providing a technical perspective to the senior leadership to help develop practical solutions
  • Helping designing new services alongside the senior leadership
  • Maintaining the UniReach website

Important candidate criteria:
  • Experience with Google Sheets and at least one programming language (ideally JavaScript)
  • Loves problem solving and has experience applying creative solutions to tech problems
  • Proactive and willing to get stuck
  • Excellent ability to communicate technical information to non-expert audiences
  • A passion for helping others
No professional or charity experience required.

UniReach is entirely volunteer-run, with a small team working on a part-time basis. Similarly, successful candidates will not be expected to volunteer more than 5 hours a week.

Applicants should apply via this Google form - we're always in need of programmers to help build our system

We guarantee to provide a paragraph of feedback to every applicant.
